Career shifters
People seek change in their careers for a variety of reasons. For senior people, it might mark a change in their working lives and an opportunity to pursue different interests through NED work or portfolio careers. For others, starting a family might necessitate change and for some it might be a result of redundancy.
The catch is that whilst change seems appealing intellectually or even exciting, to the brain it spells danger. “The brain that got me here will get me there” and the body and brain will combine in mysterious ways to make “doing change” much harder than we think!

Career workshops
For those of you who would rather work in groups and find it more motivating to do so, we run 90 minute workshops based on modules presented in our career discoveries course. These are also priced competitively and run with limited numbers online to encourage individual participation. We run workshops based loosely on your career stage, so will endeavour to build peer groups for those leaving education and starting out and those seeking change part way through their working lives.
We cover key elements of stage 4 of the course, such as using social media to find a job, how to network without it feeling horrible, writing amazing CVs or resumes, cover letters and applications, interview technique and much more.
In the workshops you will have a chance to ask questions, reflect on your work on the course with a small group and learn from each other about the best way to move forward in your career strategy.
Outplacement
Outplacement has become a sausage machine, provided by a few dominant companies who maximise returns by minimising programme depth and quality. We see things differently. Beyond the importance of CSR and simply being decent human beings, we think investing in decent levels of outplacement support for people who are let go makes good business sense. They will turn up elsewhere, amplifying the experience they had being let go, whether good or bad.
We don’t do set programmes but will bespoke for you. With a team of 10 outplacement associates who are all deeply experienced in handling everyone from office juniors to CEOs, we will listen first and suggest second. All our work is remote so we can pass the cost of office savings directly to you. The majority of our programmes are based on 121 coaching but we also bring groups of clients together for online workshops on subjects relevant to career transition.
